Dino's!

Another fairly quick and slightly mad card!

This was made on an 8x8 card again.

The background paper is from the latest Smirk for men range.

The brightly coloured dinosaurs are papermania and what the picture doesn't really show is that they are 2 layers, in between which is a little spring so they are bouncy!!

Actually stamped something today so will sort that to post in next day or two.

New Baby

Another flying post (got a bit distracted with the epic tennis match today!).

This is a commission. The backing paper is a parchment from my stash - one I wouldn't mind finding again. It is attached to the card with little pink heart brads.

The image is from the Penny Black Transparent 'Bundle of Joy' set. I have coloured it with copics and cut the sling and flowers out a second time to layer them for a bit of added dimension.

The name & date are computer generated. Fancied using my Forever Friends script stamps but the name would of been as big as the card - maybe next time!

Thanks for passing by.

Fathers Day

Just another quick post of the card I made for Fathers Day for my Father in law.

I used an image from the latest Smirk for men decoupage pad. Very current topic!!

This was simply mounted on some 'grass' from a paper pack I had, Smirk football paper then black card - all on an 8x8 card.

The 'Dad' was cut out using my Impress machine.

Thanks

No idea where the time is going recently!

Some of it has been spent making 20 (plus a couple of spares) of these which were a last minute request.

They are for helpers at a cycle race which I am helping at over the weekend, another 2 days that will fly by.

The bike is a sizzix die which I cut using Mum's cuttlebug which I stole with the idea of running off a few backgrounds - there is still time!
The bike is layered on an oval punch and a couple of pieces of card - the bike club colours are red, white and blue by the way.

Thank You is a very well used All Night Media stamp.

Need to do a new home card now but won't get much else done for a few days as also got a bike race tomorrow night and going to see Paul Merton on Friday - it's all go!!

Chrysanthemum

I had to have a treat (again!). This is one of the new Cuttlebug Quilling Embossing sets. I don't actually have a Cuttlebug although I can borrow one but these plates actually go through my Impress Die Cut machine so very pleased - even more so when you work out you need the new extra long embossing plates for the CB which are at least £20 a set (x3 for A, B & C plates!!).

Anyway, it's kind of cheating but not to worry.
One of these plates cuts strips (about 4mm), one cuts 2 strips of fringed paper, 1 cuts just 1 strip of wider fringing and then the 4th cuts some very nice leaves, some with fringed edges.

There are 2 other sets that cut shaped strips that roll up in to a daisy or rose - bit pricey to buy everything to start with though. I might now be doing a lot of cards with fringed flowers on!

Had to try a quick sample - will add to a card sometime but meant to be doing other things this evening - just couldn't leave it sat there!!

Dasher

Still on the quick and easy option this week!

This card was prompted by some images at the Sincerely Yours show I went to recently.

They had used some lovely images, stamped in black on quite bright pearl cards and papers, simply stuck on a black card.

This stamp is the new 'Dasher' from Stampin Up.
He is stamped on a bright turquoise, the picture doesn't quite do it justice.
This is then layered on a bit of shiny black which I felt the card needed.

The greeting is a Hero Arts stamps.

The ink could be a bit blacker for next time but at least I've tried the idea out now, and got to use Dasher!
