New Header!

Still not got very far this week but have stuck my new blog title together!
Mainly because I also wanted to test my new quilling tool.

Many thanks to Ann Martin's blog - http://allthingspaper-annmartin.blogspot.com/ - that pointed me in the direction of a tool I had seen before but couldn't get. Maggie in Japan does some lovely delicate quilling and I have been able to purchase a tool from her which has a very fine point, giving a much smaller hole in the middle of shapes for more delicate work.
Do have a peek at Ann's blog, she finds some lovely and inspirational paper goodies from all over the world.

I also managed to sort some of the links on my blog which I have given a much needed tweek to as the colours ended up merging with my background. Few more tweeks needed, along with all the other things I want to play with this week.

(I will sort a copic post out soon ladies!).

Owls

Had a very strange moment this morning when I put Create & Craft on the tv one of my cards was on - very random indeed!!

I entered a Forever Friends comp a while back (which I didn't win), at least the card had a small moment of fame!

Anyway, this card I have made a couple of times recently. The backing paper and that used for the oval scallops & large flowers is from a pack called Pocketful of Posies I got cheap somewhere.

The owls are Craftwork Cards with a touch of copic colour to match the papers. Large flowers punched using an SU punch, little flowers, brads and bow from a recent Docrafts goody bag.

I do hope no one got hold of any of my germs after the weekend, feel a bit more like playing today so must be feeling better - bring out the copics!!

The end of Mothers Day!

I stupidly asked my husband what he wanted on a Mothers Day I was to make and he said 'a sheep'.

So here it is!!

The image is stamped from the Papermania Honey and Hugs range. I have added some fluffy stuff to his head and googly eyes.

He (or she I suppose) is then layered using sheets of co-ordinating paper from the range with some coloured card candy to match.

Just for Janet the trusty SU ovals with Mum stamped in the middle!

Apparently he needs to challenge me more next time.

A touch of Quilling!

Another quick Mothers Day blog.

These cards are another bit of a quick fix to aid mass production but still quite sweet and seemed to go down quite well this week.

They are using some Forever Friends Pink Parfait stickers in a circle aperture card.
The edge of each circle is decorated in quilling.
One with mini scrolls and pegs, the other with marquise shapes between the pegs.

One has a Mother's Day peel-off, the other SU ovals with a Mum stamp in case I didn't sell it and it could be used again but luckily they all found a home!

I dream of one day being able to do something in less of a hurry and that doesn't need a quick-fix but we'll see!!

More Mothers Day

Another week seems to have flown past.

Knotched up quite a sales list again this week - no wonder I never get round to playing with new things. Maybe next week!

These are a couple of cards I have been asked to re-produce a few times.

The Forever Friends is an invertage design from the new Pink Parfait sets. The paper is also from the set and decorated with some gems for a bit of sparkle.

Pepper the dog is a new set of papers and matching everything from Trimcraft.

This particular Pepper is from the die-cut decoupage pack and although I am not particularly a 'doggy' person I know plenty of people who are and he is rather cute!

The card is another 8x8", decorated in some matching glitter effect paper. Pepper is stuck together and layered on to the card.

The trusty SU oval punches are used for the peel off 'Mum' greeting.

Copic playday on Saturday now to look forward to and received a fab new quilling tool in the post today so need to play with that!!

More Frogs!

Continuing the frog theme, this chappy is to add to my potential Mothers Day pile.

The stamp is from the Penny Black 'Toadily' clear set. Coloured with copics and the flower stamped again and added with a foam pad for an extra dimension.

Both large ovals punched out using Woodware punches.
The Mum is stamped and embossed using a stamp from my stash and cut out using the SU ovals.

Quite a cheery little chap - I hope my colleagues think that too!!

Frog

This is a birthday card for my Aunt. I'm hoping she's still a frog fan as I had this little fellow to hand. He is a chipboard shape (with glitter effects!) from the new Trimcraft Pepper & Friends range which I think I might be using a lot of as I know alot of people that will like Pepper!

I have just simply layered it on matching card. The backing paper is also from the range and really pretty. SU Oval punches used with a peel off greeting.
