Animal magic

I'll continue posting all the goodies I made at my weekend away on Jillstampsup and try and catch up with everything else on here!

This was a Mothers Day card I got asked for.  The brief being it was from several members of the family and between them they had 2 cats and 3 dogs - this is what I ended up with:

I've used several Penny Black stamps from my stash and coloured them with copics.
The dog on the right is cut out and 3D'd which doesn't show up well in the picture.

It was rather different but I was told yesterday it made the Mum in question cry (in a good way!) so it's nice to know it was appreciated.

Weekend in the country

As mentioned yesterday I spent last weekend away with my Stampin' Up team The Bloomin' Buds run by the lovely Jenny.

We had 3 nights away in Dorset in a fabulous house.  13 of us went and had 2 houses next to each other but we all ate and crafted in just one of them.  This is where I stayed and where we spent a lot of our time!

We arrived late Friday afternoon  and after unpacking, a cuppa and displaying our show and tell Jenny set us straight to it with 3 projects for the evening.

You can read more about the crafting over on Jillstampsup blog.

After these (and I think we managed tea!) we started on our mass of projects for the weekend.

We all chose 1 stamp set and designed 3 cards using it and then took a 'blue peter' box so the other 12 girls could make the 3 cards too.  When you remember there are 13 of us that is a few cards to make!

We also designed and took a scrapbook page each - yes, even me!!  Again, another box so we could all make each others pages.

You will now see why there were some late nights.

The weather was lovely when we were there and we had a few strolls round the pond.

One afternoon 3 of us went on a longer stroll too round a nature trail which took us through woods full of daffodils which was lovely.

The white house you can see in this picture is the one pictured above too.

The final pic for today was taken by Maria who had come from Lancashire and was our final stroll after emptying and cleaning the cottage.
I was lucky it wasn't too far to go but far enough it was still a holiday.

Jenny is on the left, then Val, me, Debi and Jane - all Buds who I regularly craft with in Poole.

A great weekend and a very large crafty stash I have as a result.

Where to start?

Such a busy month and I have been taking some pics.  As I have plenty to share I better start filling you in!

Last weekend I had a great time away with my Stampin' Up Bloomin' Buds team.
I'll sort a couple of pics to show you where we stayed for tomorrow.

For today this is a picture of everything I came home with - which doesn't include a special show and tell display I took which I will photograph in better light at the weekend.

This will give me plenty to blog about for some time to come, as well as everything else I've been up to so I shall pop back tomorrow.

Spotty Santa

Just to confirm my madness I notice all I've managed to post is Christmas cards recently!!

I have been busy making but haven't been able to share everything on here.
So - to last weeks Sundays with Santa entry which was for polka dots.

I have used another of my 'huge' Woodware stamps.  I have paper pieced the letters with some suitable paper from the stash - going over them with copics where the letters overlap.

The hat was cut out separately and coloured with copics and finished with fun flock and a bobble!

The other sentiment is also in the stamp set.

This week is 'never seen ink' if you fancy joining in.

Blogger advice

Whilst I am busy making some cards I wonder if anyone in blog land has any thoughts on a recurring issue?

One of my valued followers of JillStampsUp has regularly commented and every so often when she tries to a screen comes up - the last one being a Windows Firewall warning - which can't be cleared without restarting the computer.

This doesn't happen every time which is kind of odd but understandably if it does it rather puts you off from commenting again which would be a shame.

Anyone experienced any other screens flashing up when you've gone to comment anywhere?

Any stories or advice gratefully received.

I have a big list of cards to do today and a pile of stamped and punched bits and bobs to assemble so I need to get busy.
