Simple but effective

This card is an idea I found on kraftsbykatemartin.blogspot some time ago and thought how effective it was.

Handily enough Crafty Bunch had purchased this Stampin' Up lace ribbon border punch (now discontinued) so I borrowed it to have a go.  The punch never appealed to me until I saw this card - just goes to show that someone else's use of something can lead you down a completely different path.

The border is backed by coloured 1" punched circles and a little gem in the middle of each 'flower'.
For those that can't bear to throw anything away Janet from Crafty Bunch also recommended keeping the little punch scrap flowers too for making little hydrangea flowers!

Stamped sentiment from SU Curly Cute set and mounted on card to match the circles.
A break from crafting last night as I got a ticket to watch an advance preview of the new James Bond film - thanks to his use of one of the company helicopters in the new movie.  It was a great film (and always better for free).

Plenty more to blog at the weekend - thanks for popping by.
