More Butterflies

Well, didn't think I had punched enough butterflies recently, so here are another 141!! For my friend who I recently made the invites & table numbers for I was asked if I could produce some thank yous.

These have a blue border printed on them to match the invites and the same script for 'Thank You' on the front. The large x-cut butterfly again with 3 gems on each one and 2 little butterflies to match the comment cards from the day.

I also printed a message inside on an insert for the card. I round corner edged these and punched out the smaller butterfly in each corner again - I have a pile of 188 of those in ivory paper if anyone needs any!
That has to be it now as I literally used the last A4 piece of ivory hammered card I bought.

I had to just take a picture of the 47 finished, although it was a bit late at night when I took it. Having the Easter weekend off from blogging but will see what I can rustle up for next week - Happy Easter.

Flowers

Just a quick post today to share a kit I made up for a recent demo.

This is a kit from Quilled Creations which is being sold through DOCrafts. I followed the pattern and colours for just about everything to try and encourage people to buy the kits but it is also a good sampler for different flowers and quite nice as a picture, something I wouldn't normally of put together!

Sense of Time

Apologies this card didn't get posted after a recent Stampin' Up evening.

Because Stevie knew lots of us were already converts with a growing stash of goodies she chose something that used a few more elements for the make & take.

The background of this card is spritzed using the SU colour spritzer tool which I had not noticed before. It uses air to mist ink from markers on to your card (and can also fit a copic pen - watch this space!).

The clock face was stamped and cut out, a little brad used in the middle of it.
The smaller stamp in the Sense of Time set was used all over a smaller bit of card, then passed through the Fiskars crimper and daubed around the edges with 3 shades of matching ink.
A little piece of gold elastic cord and a sentiment stamp to finish off.

Well, I have just tried to add another post and for some reason I am having issues with my pictures - so many apologies for those keeping tabs on me, I will try again tomorrow.

Workshop Pt2

This is the second card from my workshop yesterday.

This features 'ring coils' which are made by winding a strip of paper round something. In this case we used bits of dowel, but any passing pens, pencils, tools or pots can be utilised if they are the size you need!

The rings made for the 2 larger flowers were shaped into teardrops and marquises like an ordinary quilled coil.

The paper was lovely for this project too. We were given some two-tone which, as it says on the tin, is a light shade one side and a darker shade on the opposite, really good for this technique.

This is also a technique I haven't really used before although there was some lovely work at the AGM last year so I must try and use it more.

Workshop

Having a quick break between work and language learning I have had a bit of a 'craftathon' over the last 4 days and now have some things to blog.

Bit of a shame I have been inside too much in the lovely weather but I had a day out at the Stitch & Craft show at the Bath & West for a few treats and bargains, 2 days demo-ing Quilling and a Quilling workshop today.

Today the Herring family of Elderberry Crafts visited our twice yearly quilling day at Woolavington. We (nearly) made 2 cards. This card was designed to showcase 'huskings' which are shapes made by wrapping paper around pins in a set design. It is a technique I have never used much so was good to produce such a lovely card.

The paper colours are lovely and from the range that Elderberry sell, the paper edging on the card corners is 'jeweltone' paper which has a sheen to it - one of those that seems too good to use sometimes!

I plan to finish off the other card tomorrow and also take some pics of the items I made for the demos I have just done so a bumper blog week for everyone that has complained about my absence!
