Still here!

Apologies for lack of posting. I did scan a card to post last week before I went away but then ran out of time!

I had a very long week at work to try and get on top of things, then have just spent a lovely few days in Cornwall. Need to get back crafting very soon to use a few of the goodies I've found on my travels!

Sorry this card is on its side. I've had the teabag squares for ages after getting them at a show. Some instructions I had called this a 'pentagon' fold, it seems to show off the super hero to best effect.

Then just layered up in rather vibrant colours to match!
Another crafty shopping day before the weekend and hope to get back to more blogging next week.

Needing a rest!

Well that was a rather busy couple of weeks! Somehow managed to sell 60 cards this month so think that means I can have a treat if I make it to Farnborough!!

Sold mainly valentines cards - Forever Friends, love ewe sheep and penny black dog being the favourites with everyone.

This card was a request for a colleague. I do enjoy iris folding and was asked for a bright card - I think this fills the brief and enjoyed doing it.

Next stop Mothers Day I reckon!

Sheep

Valentine Dog as previously posted has been a good seller this week, keeping it company in sales is Valentine Sheep!!

The stamp is a clear woodware one from the 'Wooly Greetings' set. I have lightly coloured the bodies with a copic pen and stamped a second image and just used the head for a bit of depth, punched out and layered on red and black card.

The gems are papermania and I've punched out some little hearts round the edge of the card.

The 'Love Ewe' sentiment is also from the set, cut out with SU ovals. Just about to start another sheep production line!

Quilling

I finally made a quilled card! Got the bug again now after an evening at Woolavington with my quilling chums too.

This Anniversary card was another work request. The yellow flowers are 'folded roses', a bit fiddly but worth the effort. The gold bells and filigree add to the anniversary feel and golden theme and just some leaves and tendrils to finish off.

The peel offs hopefully explain it all! Not much else to say really on that.

Birthday Sheep

Another request for a 1 year olds birthday.

This is using the new Honey & Hugs pyramage set with a piece of backing paper from the matching paper block.

The name & number were cut out using my Impress, the number mounted on the Stampin Up ovals.

Quite effective for a little person without too much trauma which is always good.

My next post will actually have a quilled card on!! Honest!

Valentines

I am still here - apologies for delay in blogging - so much to do, so little time!

Have made a few Valentines Cards I hope to sell at work. The first one is from the new DOCrafts Forever Friends Decoupage. 3D isn't always a favourite of mind but these are quite effective.

I' ve covered the card in some paper from my vast stash and added a couple of layers to the design, simple but hopefully will appeal to someone.

The Penny Black dog has been popular in the past too. I've stamped him, coloured with copics and stamped an extra rose which I cut out and 3D'd on for a spot of dimension.
The oval scallop is a punch and I've used a stamp from the stash for the greeting.

All straight forward but effective hopefully this week - still plenty in the pipeline!

Laura Ashley

This is a slider birthday card that we were shown a while ago at Crafty Bunch.

The outer card is a pearl silver/grey colour that I have stamped in silver ink front and back with Laura Ashley stamps (it is quite subtle and not as clear in the pics).

The front panel is layers of card topped with a piece from Laura Ashley paper, the flower of which have been cut out from a second piece and decoupaged for added dimension.

The inner pieces of card are layered in the same colours, the white piece being stamped in silver with the same flower stamp as the outer card and a Happy Birthday greeting.

This is then finished with a matching piece of ribbon.
